OUR SKILLED MOUNTAIN GUIDES
Clark Huber
FOUNDER
Clark Huber started going into the Alaskan backcountry as a child and has spent most of his life working and spending time in the wilderness. He was born and raised in Alaska and has a love for nature and the great outdoors.
His passion for the Alaskan wilderness sparked his interest in mountain guiding. Alaska Back Country Guiding Company was a a way for him to combine doing what he loves with a livelihood.
Providing customers with life changing experiences and teaching others about wilderness skills and sports is his passion and he loves to help introduce people into his world through his guiding tours.
Jessie Myers
MOUNTAIN GUIDE
If you arew into extreme adventure then you will love Jessie! He is a tripple crown thru hiker (Pacific Crest Trail, Appalachian Trail, and Continental DivideTrail). Jessie has traveled to 47 different countries and has spent most of his adult life doing wilderness sports such as long distance thru hiking, high elevation snow boarding and skiing, mountain climbing and mountaineering.
Krystina Bower
MOUNTAIN GUIDE
Krystina is a expert in plant identification and wildlife conservation. Don’t let her educated background fool you. Although she is well equipped to teach you about nature she is also one of our best climbing guides. She is a expert level ice climber, professional mountaineer, and free climber.
Tony Domingo
MOUNTAIN GUIDE
Tony is the lead guide for all of our hunting and fishing trips. His knowledge of animals and the back country comes from his grand father’s teachings which he learned as a professional trapper and hunter. Tony loves camping and hiking as well and often leads camping and hiking excursions into the remote back country.
Guiding Partners
There are many more mountain guides that work with us. They are mostly freelance mountain guides and specialty guides that have technical training in activities such as climbing, mountaineering, kayaking, trail running, photography and videography, boating, fishing and much more. While it is unlikely that we may not have a professional guide capable of guiding you in a specific activity, we are connected to many guides and can always reach out to find someone who can better help you reach your goals at no extra cost to you. It is a pleasure to be able to provide people with memorable experiences and exciting trips. Every mountain guide that we recommend you is thoroughly vetted and qualified to guide you on your adventure. While some of our team works to maintain customer service such as answering emails and coordination services, we all have a passion for the outdoors at Alaska Back Country Guiding and truly understand how important your trip is to you.
